I'm Stefano Rossi a multidisciplinary creative designer specializing in Product, Service and Visual design. Currently living in Amsterdam. I will never stop believing in the transforming potential of design.
How it all began ⤳ In 2016, my creative journey started at the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania. That's where my love affair with all things design began. Over the next five years, I got to see just how much design is woven into our lives – way more than I ever realized before. While I was studying, I thought, "Why not put what I'm learning to good use?" So, I jumped into the real world and joined Flazio, this awesome web design company in Italy. And then, I took a dive into the world of digital product design at YOOX, spending nearly two years polishing up my skills. After I got the hang of UI design, I started thinking about how design could actually make life better for people. Fast forward to 2022, I joined a master's program in User Experience Psychology in Milan. Fancy name, right? It was a joint program between Politecnico di Milano (known for its academic excellence) and Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano (one of the oldest and most respected psychology schools). Upon completing my master's degree, I joined Fjord (now Accenture Song). There, I got to team up with some seriously smart folks in the industry, working on projects that had a positive impact on tons of people. But you know how it is – the itch for new adventures never really goes away. So, in the summer of 2023, I took a leap and left Italy for Amsterdam. Why? To join one of the world's top digital design and communications agencies, AKQA. I'm excited to keep growing, learning, and finding fresh ways to see the world as a designer. And that's where the story ends, for now, 千里の道も一歩から

Thoughts
Design for good ⤳ Amidst a constantly evolving world, design can serve a crucial purpose in effectively communicating, educating, and advocating for change. Design for social good encompasses more than just a means of artistic expression. Particularly in today's world, design for social good can play a pivotal role in fostering collective action and driving positive change.
Design drive changes ⤳ As designers, we hold the responsibility to create to bring about a positive societal impact. Our duty extends beyond merely instigating change - it also encompasses raising awareness and inspiring others to strive towards a better future.
Disruptive design ⤳ Design thinking has emerged as a crucial advancement in the design profession in recent times. It is a strategic approach to questioning and intervening in the complex systems that surround us. Essentially, it involves embracing complexity, implementing adjustments that enhance the functionality of systems for all, and envisioning a better future through design.
Minimalism ≠ Trend ⤳ Minimalism should not be regarded as a fleeting trend. It is a perpetually relevant visual discipline that has influenced diverse areas of society, ranging from painting and architecture to graphic design and beyond. This design aesthetic is often a reaction to times of social upheaval or a response to an overly ornate or expressive visual culture that preceded it.
"Be patient, creative, and work with a purpose."
